Why Anrok tax rates are wrong or missing on an invoice

Last updated: July 10, 2026

The most common cause is that the customer isn't linked to Anrok. Lago doesn't automatically apply Anrok to all customers, each one must be individually connected in their customer settings, and an unlinked customer's invoice data is never sent to Anrok, so tax shows as $0 / 0%.

Causes and fixes

  1. Customer not linked to Anrok. Go to the customer's settings and connect them to the Anrok integration, then refresh any affected draft invoices to trigger a new tax calculation.

  2. Address changed after the draft invoice was created. Draft invoice taxes don't recalculate automatically when a customer's address changes. Click Refresh invoice on the draft to trigger a new Anrok call using the updated address. Anrok uses the billing address for tax jurisdiction lookups, not the shipping address.

  3. The address shown in the UI doesn't match what was taxed. This is a display-only issue. The invoice detail page always shows the customer's current address, even on finalized invoices, but tax was calculated using the address at the time of calculation (when a draft was last refreshed or created, or at finalization for finalized invoices). The PDF captures the address at the time of generation. This does not affect tax accuracy.
